My Modern Metropolis

My Modern Metropolis, aka theMET, went live on 27 May 2008. Not quite another Facebook or Bebo, but a new social network nonetheless. Focusing on five main areas - upcoming events, great restaurants, design hotels, new music, and modern art it brings together likeminded people who share the same passions.

Their aim is also to be a cool place to hang out where those with busy lifestyles can chill out for a while.

Their Travel forum is beginning to take shape and there are a number of interesting threads touching on experiences and places to stay. Although it is pretty US based, I am sure it will not be long before it becomes more wordly.

We just created a Metrotels space at theMET and aside from being able to upload images, find friends, post messages, you can also upload music from your own collection, which is a super cool feature. Wherever you are in the world you can always have your favourite tunes with you (handy if you forget your iPod at home!).
