Yes, you read correctly. London’s Hoxton Hotel, located just a stones throw from Hoxton Square and Shoreditch - two of the areas hottest night-time destinations - offers rooms for £1 per night.

On a periodic basis they offer five rooms each night at a staggeringly low £1 and five rooms each night at £29. These rooms are released periodically throughout the year for a three month booking period.

Hoxton Hotel Grille

I had the pleasure of dining with a friend of mine in the excellent Hoxton Hotel Grille last Thursday. Inspired by the vibrant, unpretentious bistros of New York and Paris The Grille is a neighbourhood restaurant that’s laid-back enough for a relaxed brunch or a quick bite after work but with more than enough style to give a dinner date a bit of class. Food is served from an open kitchen, so entertainment is guaranteed. Matched to a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff, it is the perfect place to begin an East End evening. I can totaly recommend the Bangers & Mash - which for an ex-pat like me was a real treat to come “home” to. The lounge is a great place for people watching - located street side with giant windows - and serves up a buzzy atmosphere, preparing you for the rest of Hoxton’s night spots.
