Leading Hotels of the World 19.28 Promotion

As promised, here is an update from Ted Tang of Leading Hotels of the World on their USD 19.28 Promotion.  These are his words:

I would like to once again express my gratitude for your continued support, understanding, and patience with The Leading Hotels of the World. Since October 1, we have explored and evaluated many solutions to the technological failures encountered during the online USD 19.28 Sale.

The latest newsletter from Design Hotels™ dropped into my inbox today with a rather special treat.  For those looking to escape the festive season stress, or just to do something other than sit around stuffing your face with turkey and mince pies, then maybe the Design Hotels Escape Christmas promotion is for you.

There are 50 hotels offering a 10% reduction off the standard rate, breakfast, a welcome drink and a special “Un-Christmas Gift” from the hotel.

Rooms for a pound in London

Yes, you read correctly. London’s Hoxton Hotel, located just a stones throw from Hoxton Square and Shoreditch - two of the areas hottest night-time destinations - offers rooms for £1 per night.

On a periodic basis they offer five rooms each night at a staggeringly low £1 and five rooms each night at £29. These rooms are released periodically throughout the year for a three month booking period.

In order to know when the offer is live, you need to subscribe to their mailing list. We have, so you don’t have too - just check back here frequently, or subscribe to our feed and we’ll let you know when the next booking period is live.

Leading Hotels 1928 Promotion Farce

Some of you may not be aware, but in celebration of their 80th birthday, the Leading Hotels of the World created a great special offer to celebrate it - rooms for $19.28 per night, on-sale for just 80 minutes - LHW/1928.

Trouble is they used technology from 1928 to manage demand.  At 14:00 CET on 01 October the rooms went on sale but no-one could actually log in due to such high demand.  Despite knowing how many registrations they had, somehow they didn’t manage to manage demand.

This was a real shame, given the great idea and sensational offer.
